Today is the last day of 2009, AKA New Years Eve!
The day most people get drunk, party, and stay up till all hours of the night,
but to some a day of reflecting on the year that has so quickly came to an end.
A day of reminiscing over the memories they have made.
To me, it’s just another day.. but I would like to take the time to reflect, and think about the future.
Some Quotes:
“Year's end is neither an end nor a beginning but a going on, with all the wisdom that experience can instill in us.” ~Hal Borland
“People are so worried about what they eat between Christmas and the New Year, but they really should be worried about what they eat between the New Year and Christmas.” ~Author Unknown
And ye, who have met with Adversity's blast,
And been bow'd to the earth by its fury;
To whom the Twelve Months, that have recently pass'd
Were as harsh as a prejudiced jury -
Still, fill to the Future! and join in our chime,
The regrets of remembrance to cozen,
And having obtained a New Trial of Time,
Shout in hopes of a kindlier dozen.
~Thomas Hood
This year has gone by fast, like most years do!
It has been filled with struggles, sadness, heartache, and temptation; but by God’s Grace & Mercy I have made it this far.
I have found peace and joy this year like I have never known, when I got saved on June 14, 2009! I don’t want that to be the only thing that I have done for God though! It’s good to be saved, but I want to follow God, be His servant, and be in the will of God for my life! Whatever that may be!
I don’t really like to have New Years Resolutions, I just have goals that I set for myself all year long! if i had to have one it would be to be in the will of God!
What this year may bring I don’t know, but I do know who is in control of everything, God! He has brought me this far, and like the songwriter says, “I’ve come to far to look back!” so I am going to go forward, and not live in the past! we can’t change it, but we can change what we do from now on!
I have had some Great friends this year that have helped me so much, and have been such a blessing to me! I don’t know what I would have done without them! God knows what kinds of people you need as friends, and He leads you to them! He also knows what kind of family you need!

I hope to Graduate this year! May 22 is the day! I am ready to graduate, but it’s scary to have to make so many decisions! I know God will be with me in everything that I have to make decisions about this year! I also hope to be baptized this coming up year too, if we ever get around to it! LOL! I have other goals too!
I hope this coming up year is a good year, and brings me, my family, you, and your family Joy & Peace!
I just thought I would leave you with a New Years Eve message- "Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise" Proverbs 20:1 Celebrate the new year by repenting of your sins and getting saved by the wonderful grace of JESUS!!! "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel." Mark 1:15.
[kudos to Amber Reeves]
The reason i have such joy and peace is because i got saved by the wonderful Grace & Mercy of Jesus Christ! Jesus Christ is the only way you can have true Joy & Peace!
Some Bible Verses:
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
"For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved."
~John 3:16-17
"Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding."
"In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." ~Proverbs 3:5-6
"These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world."
~John 16:33
"But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him."
~I Corinthians 2:9
"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning."

The Christmas Story!

"The Christmas Story"
King James Version
"For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given: and The Government shall be upon His Shoulder: and His Name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The Mighty GOD, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His Government and peace there shall be no end, upon the Throne of David, and upon His Kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of Hosts will perform this"
(Isaiah 9:6-7).
by The Holy Spirit through The Apostles Luke and Matthew
The Story of the Birth of Christ
As told through Luke
Luke 2:1 And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed. 2:2 (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.) 2:3 And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city. 2:4 And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:) 2:5 To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with Child. 2:6 And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.
2:7 And she brought forth her firstborn Son,
and wrapped Him in swaddling clothes, and laid Him in a manger;
because there was no room for them in the inn.
2:8 And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. 2:9 And, lo, the angel of the LORD came upon them, and the glory of the LORD shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. 2:10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. 2:11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the LORD. 2:12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the Babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. 2:13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, 2:14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. 2:15 And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into Heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the LORD hath made known unto us. 2:16 And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the Babe lying in a manger. 2:17 And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this Child. 2:18 And all they that heard it wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds. 2:19 But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. 2:20 And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them. 2:21 And when eight days were accomplished for the circumcising of the Child, His Name was called JESUS, which was so named of the angel before He was conceived in the womb.
The Story of the Birth of Christ
As told through Matthew
Matthew 1:16 And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, Who is called Christ. 1:17 So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations. 1:18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as His mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with Child of the Holy Ghost. 1:19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily. 1:20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for That which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. 1:21 And she shall bring forth a Son, and thou shalt call His Name JESUS: for He shall save His people from their sins. 1:22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the LORD by the prophet, saying, 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with Child, and shall bring forth a Son, and they shall call His Name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God With Us. 1:24 Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the LORD had bidden him, and took unto him his wife: 1:25 And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn Son: and he called His Name JESUS.
2:1 Now when Jesus was born
in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king,
behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,
2:2 Saying, Where is He that is born King of the Jews?
for we have seen His Star in the east, and are come to worship Him. 2:3 When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him. 2:4 And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born. 2:5 And they said unto him, In Bethlehem of Judaea: for thus it is written by the prophet, 2:6 And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule My people Israel. 2:7 Then Herod, when he had privily called the wise men, inquired of them diligently what time the Star appeared. 2:8 And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search diligently for the young Child; and when ye have found Him, bring me word again, that I may come and worship Him also. 2:9 When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the Star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young Child was.
2:10 When they saw the Star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy. 2:11 And when they were come into the house, they saw the young Child with Mary His mother, and fell down, and worshipped Him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto Him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.

Why Jesus is Better Than Santa Claus!
Why Jesus is Better Than Santa Claus!!
Santa lives at the North Pole...
JESUS is everywhere.
Santa rides in a sleigh...
JESUS rides on the wind and walks on the water.
Santa comes but once a year...
JESUS is an ever present help.
Santa fills your stockings with goodies...
JESUS supplies all your needs.
Santa comes down your chimney uninvited...
JESUS stands at your door and knocks, and then enters your heart when invited.
You have to wait in line to see Santa...
JESUS is as close as the mention of His name.
Santa lets you sit on his lap...
JESUS lets you rest in His arms.
Santa doesn't know your name, all he can say is "Hi little boy or girl, what's your name?"...
JESUS knew our name before we were born. Not only does He know our name, He knows our address too. He knows our history and future and He even knows how many hairs are on our heads.
Santa has a belly like a bowl full of jelly...
JESUS has a heart full of love
All Santa can offer is HO HO HO...
JESUS offers health, help and hope.
Santa says "You better not cry"...
JESUS says "Cast all your cares on me for I care for you."
Santa's little helpers make toys...
JESUS makes new life, mends wounded hearts, repairs broken homes and builds mansions.
Santa may make you chuckle but...
JESUS gives you joy that is your strength.
While Santa puts gifts under your tree...
JESUS became our gift and died on a tree...the cross.
We need to put Christ back in CHRISTmas, Jesus is still the reason for the season.

The Past 6 Months!
I have been saved for 6 months today.
Time has really flown by so quickly.
I geuss you spend the first 20 or 30 years of your life wishing you are older, and spend the rest of them wishing you were younger! haha.
It's amazing how you go forward and nothing really seems to change, but when you look back it seems like so much has changed.
So, So, So much has changed since 6 months ago, and that is how it should be because i got saved!
"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."-- 2 Corinthians 5:17
there is so much i could say, but that would take a very long time!
Christmas will be here soon, in about 11 days actually!
then comes 2010!! i am ready to graduate!
this year has had its trouble, but God is always with me! that is the only reason i have been able to make it without going absolutely crazy!
people always ask me, "what are you doing this weekend??"
& i always have the same response, "i'm cleaning, doing laundry, homework, cooking dinner, going to church.. pretty much the same thing i do except i don't go to church everyday!"
most of the time they say okay.. LOL.
but then once this girl said, "i don't know how you do all that, i wouldn't be able to!"
i was like, it takes a special person and God.. let me tell ya! :)
well i'm getting tired.. so Goodnight!
i will post again soon!

Before You Meet Prince Charming.

I just got done reading Before You Meet Prince Charming By: Sarah Mally.
it was a pretty good book, it was pretty much what i had heard before with a little bit more detail.
I would recommend that young ladies read it.
It really helped me.
It has memory verses that are KJV, and it has assignments that you can do to help you understand more from The Word of God.

Another Day. :D
December 5, 2009, Saturday.
it's been a little while since i have posted anything.
it has been a little busy with the holidays.
Christmas is coming up.
i have always liked Christmas, who doesn't love Christmas is what i would like to know?? haha.
anyways, today has been a hard day.
everyone keeps wanting me to get a job, but i don't know how i will be able to do everything at the house, go to work, and go to school. i guess i will figure it out. I just wish people would leave me alone sometimes, but i doubt that will ever happen.
I need to stop complaining and be happy because i have been given more than i deserve. so i am just going to follow God, and not worry about what other people are doing.
Back to Christmas, we are having our Christmas play next week.
i am really nervous about it, but i am sure it will go fine.
i just don't want to be the one who messes it up. lOl.
I don't really want anything specific for christmas, it will be fine if i don't get anything. it is always better to give than to recieve. :)
The end of my first semester of my senior year is coming up. i only have about 5 more months of school left before graduation. i am ready to graduate, but it's kind of scary when you don't know what to do next, but i am just going to leave it up to God to lead me, as to what to do after high school.
my problem is that i try to get ahead of God, but you can't do that.
waiting is a tough think to do, and patience is not my virtue.
i am working on it though.
i guess that's it for this post. just a little update on my life. =]
TO BE CONTINUED..

A Special Day.
so here is how it goes,
God had been dealing with my heart about being saved a few times before June 14, 2009, but it was different on that day.
i just couldn't believe that the same God that had been letting everything happen that was going on in my life actually cared about me.
i would always think in my head that if he really loved me then he would make things better and not let things keep getting worse.
i was also afraid about going to the alter with all those people watching, and if i went to the alter that would mean that everyone would know that i wasn't saved.
i would always say, well i'm not as bad as some people. [famous words]
I'm sure if your reading this then your problem thinking how dumb those reasons are, but at that time in my life they were real to me.
now i realize how stupid, it was to think things like that.
anyways,
the night i got saved was on a Sunday night.
it seems like just yesterday now that i think about it.
Bro. Kevin had decided to let a few different preachers preach that night.
i don't really remember exactly how many preachers had went before Bro. Holt,
but when Bro. Holt got up to preach, he preached on Hell.
i sat there and listened like i had done times before when preachers would preach on Hell.
Again, out of the Grace and Mercy of God, God dealt with me again about needing to be saved.
i tried to come up with the same old excuses i had used before,
but this time it was different.
i knew this was the line in the sand, the last time God was ever going to deal with me.
i finally realized that God had always been there, and he had his reasons for the way things were, and that all the people that i had been afraid to go to the alter in front of already knew that i needed to be saved and all they cared about was me getting saved. nothing else.
i knew i was a sinner, and that i needed to be saved.
Praise the Lord! the only people that God saves are the ones that finally realize that they are a sinner, and deserve to be in Hell.
so i went down to the alter, and ask God to save me.
& He did. imagine that. God actually saves people that want to be saved.
i will never forget the expression on Bro. Kevin's face when i told him i got saved.
it was the happiest night of my life.
so that's my story. i hope its a blessing to the people who read this note.

My Very First Blog Post! :)
Hello. I have finally decided to start a blog. I have always liked to write journals and stuff, so I figured I would like this too. Haha. Anyways, I would just like to start off this first post with a little bit about me.
First, my name is Brittany. I am currently 17 years old. I go to high school, I am a senior! yay, this is my last year! I am so happy to finally be closing that chapter of my life. It has taken a long time to get to where I am now in life, but it has been worth it. I am a pretty fun person, which if you know me any at all then you probably think I am crazy, but funny! lol. There isn’t really that much to say about me that wouldn’t take like a million pieces of paper to explain. Maybe one day I will get around to making a autobiography, “A Day in The Life of Brittany”. Hey, maybe I should name my blog that, I think I just might.
Secondly, I think I will talk about this year. The holidays are coming up, which always puts people in the mood to reminisce. So, I think I will do that. This year has been a very special one. So much has happened, 2009 has been a great year. Well, the first 5 months of the year wasn’t that great, but from June on, it has been better than any other year. That doesn’t mean that bad things haven’t happened though.
In June, we found out that my Grandmother had breast cancer. It was a very hard time then, and it still is. She had a mastectomy of her right breast. The surgery and all that went well, which I am very thankful for! She is doing chemotherapy now; she has 5 more treatments, and will hopefully be done with radiation in February. We are going on a cruise in April for my graduation present!
Anyways, i think this is enough to read for this post! i will try to post the sequel soon!
My next post will be : The most amazing thing that has ever happened to me!
Be waiting for it! Haha. :)
